[The voice that echoes over the NV is a softly feminine one. It sounds a little shaken and confused, rather lost. There's something about it that might seem discomforting. For one thing, it's just a little too high-pitched, formal tones offset by a sarcastic and childish attitude. From here it only gets worse, switching between the high-pitched sarcasm and more ordinary exasperation. In the background, rain can be heard.]
Was it all a dream? But... no. The darkness... it came for me. It came.
[A slight pause. The greeter said it could communicate... Like a magic book. Just talk and people will hear.] Who is there? [It rises in pitch suddenly, gaining a far more childish note.] I know you're there... You don't have to be afraid. Hanch won't hurt you. Come talk to Hanch. Yes... will you come talk with me? I'd like to know who I've reached.
