Three Assassination Attempts on Billionaire’s Life
Outsider William Herms, recent new addition to the city who arrived with several suit cases of cash, has already seen several attempts on his life... and had them all stopped. The man made his fortune by being able to read the future. Since arriving to Siren’s Port he has been moved to the White Star Hotel for boarding instead of the normal Outsider processing building. The added protection is a staple for a man like this. Three attempts last night to break in and kill the man or steal his money have already been thwarted, simply by the fact that the mans super power of seeing alerted him in time, allowing him to call for a guard and have it taken care of.
“I understand that things are tight in this city. I’ve read up on the city itself, as well as the turf war that seems to be going on here. I’ll tell you now, I have no interest in the welfare of the companies. I just want to find a place to settle down and belong.”
As a show of good faith and to prove he has no ill feelings towards those of the city after the attacks, Herms donated a large sum of money to The Four Winds Orphanage in hope that they can properly rebuild and darkness proof the old building. Den Mother Trisha Lamont was there to receive the donation (The amount was kept a secret). “It’s more then we could have imagined, that’s for sure. We can use this to improve the building to keep each of these Little doves safe from those who wish them harm. I just... I thank god for the little things each day, but this is a true blessing.”
-Strange Break-In at the Children's Ward, 'Sailor Venus' Saves the Day?
There was a commotion at Skye Medical's Pediatrics Wing yesterday evening, when a man snuck in through a window and attempted to take refuge within, frightening several ill children when he claimed to be pursued by AGI agents plotting to assassinate him. The culprit, identified as Alvin Goodfellow, a pawnbroker whose business went up in smoke two weeks ago, has been arrested for breaking and entering a hospital and attempting to hold young patients hostage.
When hospital staff were unable to make him see reason, the young patients claim that a blonde girl in an orange collared sailor suit "appeared out of nowhere" and knocked the man out, keeping him there until police could arrive and restrain him. She then calmed the frightened children by sweetly singing to them, gone by the time hospital staff could unbolt the door (which had been fastened shut by Goodfellow's magically forged padlocks). "Sailor Venus" wanted a bounty reward to "go to a good cause", according to one of the children.
This particular article focuses on the girl's heroism to the children, rather than the strange circumstances of Mr. Goodfellow's flight, but several SERO NV blogging sources are beginning to call foul play, questioning the girl's motives and affiliations, as well as Bounty Hunting practices.
