- STOLEN CATTLE: A farmhand reported cattle theft by a "large flying bat-beast," shortly before siren last night. The Department of Agriculture is offering $400 for returned livestock, and warns Sector 7 workers to be on the lookout for this creature.

- MIRACLE ON 34th ST.Tragedy was avoided this morning when a little girl, Abby Miller, age 5, was hit by a drunk driver on 34th Street. Onlookers and her distraught parents suspected the girl was not going to make it to the hospital, when a silver haired newcomer chanced upon the scene - some say out of nowhere. Despite protests, the newcomer laid a hand upon the girl's forehead, and within minutes the child's injuries had healed. The locals were unable to keep the newcomer from leaving shortly afterward.

- SECOND DECAPITATION MURDER SHOCKS MALLGOERS The body of a female victim,  probably a sex worker by the coroner's examination, was found a block west of the Sector 1 entrance to the Underground Mall this morning, sprawled beneath a tree in a residential park. Like the corpse found Friday in Sector 8, the arms and head were removed, but the head is nowhere to be found. Police on the scene say there was no sign of attack or struggle.
