NEAT???
the boy (same boy as the last entries) and i hung out tonight in a terribly exciting fashion: in front of the TV, flipping channels and watching old simpsons episodes and playing with his tremendously entertaining pets.
and as i go to leave, there's short "goodnight kiss" followed by a much longer, and much better kiss. the kind they highlight in movies. the kind the leaves you a little breathless at the end. the kind that renders you almost speechless, and grinning like an idiot.
i say almost speechless because MY response to this fabulous kiss was:
NEAT!
he, of course thought this was hilarious. i didn't even realize what i said until it was too late. and then i tried to backpedal and make it sound less lame.
he continued to think it was hilarious.
who SAYS that? who responds to the best kiss in a LONG time with something like "NEAT!" apparently, i do.
