Pretty productive weekend overall, I think.
- Friday night was Pat's birthday, so we went over there - a bit late, because Jill was tired and took a nap. Hung out, drank, drew werewolves, all that good stuff.
- Saturday my parents came to visit - we got Japanese food for lunch and they went to the farmer's market. We were invited to a couple things in the evening but were just so tired and kind of out of it that we did not go. I did make the Black Mage Bean soup from ffrecipes - it's pretty good, though I wish I hadn't used instant coffee. Oops.
- Sunday we went to Home Depot to look at new kitchen stuff. I made some chicken stock and went to the groecery store, too. Trimmed the hedges, pulled some ivy stuff off the house, and cleaned up most of the garage. I am tired of half measures and want to to destroy any lingering clutter.
I figured after doing that I would feel justified sitting back and playing some Fallout 3, but I still felt kind of OCD. This was compounded by the fact that Fallout 3 is much more difficult than Skyrim and that I'm terrible at it. (Not unlike the first two Fallouts.)
I think it's time to pick up Xenoblade again.. I'm not really feeling a 100+ unfocused walk through the Wastelands just now.
I tried playing Amnesia: the Dark Descent, but hilariously I cannot recall what I was doing or how the current puzzle works, so I am stuck. I haven't so much been in the mood for horror this week anyways. I'm more in the mood for something just kinda fun than something super-dark at the moment.
On Saturday, I read through most of this webcomic:
http://romanticallyapocalyptic.com/1 It's incredibly strange. Dream sequences, characters dropping in without introduction, possibly multiple versions of the same event. I have no idea what the overarching plot is supposed to be. It's pretty slick visually though, since they use green-screen pictures and modified photos (I think) to get really stark but almost realistic looking visuals.
I've been trying to improve on my procrastination. Last week I was feeling super proactive on my internet checking, not so much on .. everything else. Something to fix.
Food plan for week: jerk chicken, black mage soup, beef + broccoli and/or mushrooms
Friday I'm running Mouse Guard! And as Paul pointed out, my zombie-reskin idea for Last Stand makes way more sense as Castlevania. So sometime I will run that as well.
