Fleet Sewer. Farringdon Market Split. The original tunnel was built in 1770, creating, for the River Fleet, one of its first underground sections, above which flourished the marketplace. This sewer overflow is called Lew Hill. Its named after aspects of Loops n Curly's real names as they helped get into it, but werent around when the outfall grille finally fell to the machinations of Urban Fox, Larey and Wellwasp. Its an old brick tunnel that connects to a nice, new technofunky Intercepted sewer. I did it with Urban Fox a few weeks ( Read more... )

Running a convoluted route southwards from Hampstead Heath, the River Fleet was, until it vanished beneath the city streets, London's next most well known river, after the Thames.
