This place was huge and no matter how far she went she couldn't find the end. There was no glass, no water, no doors, and she couldn't handle it. All the familiar places were clean and unfamiliar. The splicers were few and weren't satisfying. She was hungry, so hungry it was making her sick, and everything was too bright here.
It was all wrong.
She'd lost the only ghost she'd found.
Cindy screeched in frustration and leaped from one building to the next. The pristine glass cracked under her heavy dive boots, the reinforced aluminum beams buckled beneath the steel carbide of her needle. It was easy to travel here, everything was close and tall. She leaped again and caught a mounted street-sign several meters away and a few dozen down. She didn't have a plan, didn't know where she was going, but she would keep going until she found the shore or a window out.
Hopefully there would be food between here and there.
