Author's Notes: The point that I hope to convey throughout this story is that true friendship (a bond of love and trust and faith) is so strong that it can withstand anything. That the bond of true friendship (even when you are pulled away from and forced to leave the ones you love) will always remain, even when you feel that all is lost, that bond still remains deep within you.

PART 2

Hyunseung dropped the knife right before he reached Junhyung, his fist connecting with the latter’s cheek. Junhyung staggered backwards into a large stack of concrete cylinders and before he could get his bearings he was pulled around to the side of the cylinders. He was pushed once again against the cylinders, his back slamming into concrete as lips crashed against his own.

Junhyung placed his hands on Hyunseung’s cheeks as they kissed, lips and tongues molding, meshing, and tasting as fast as they could. Hyunseung pulled away and rested his head against Junhyung’s.

“Jun.” There was so much he wanted to say but didn’t have the time to do so.

Junhyung nodded his head. “I know.”

Hyunseung smiled. “Three of them have guns, Rain, the one with the goatee, and the kid, Minho. If we can get the guns and take out Rain, this will be over. They won’t fight without Rain.”

“Okay.” Junhyung pulled Hyunseung’s lips against his, the kiss once again fast, but this time full of the love they felt for each other. When the kiss ended their lips stayed connected, their breath mingling with one another’s.

A loud scream was heard, ringing in their ears and reminding them of where they were.

Hyunseung tightened his grip on Junhyung’s arms. “I’ll go after Minho and you take the other one. Then we’ll both go after Rain.”

“Be careful.”

Hyunseung began pulling Junhyung back into the view of the others. “You too.” He smiled. “Now tackle me into the others.”

Junhyung grinned and charged Hyunseung, the two of them colliding into Chansung and one of Rain’s men, all four of them falling to the ground.

Hyunseung stood up and ran towards the SUV where Kikwang was fighting Minho. He ran full force at Minho’s back, slamming the latter’s face into the SUV.

“Kiki,” he smiled at the bloody, but stunned looking Kikwang, “I think Woon needs some help. I got this one.” He slammed Minho into the car again.

Kikwang wiped blood off of his mouth before nodding and running off to help Dongwoon.

“You’re quite the actor kid.” He pressed Minho into the car. “You even had me fooled.”

Minho let out a growl before pushing himself away from the car and elbowing Hyunseung in the gut, the latter staggering backwards.

Minho turned to face Hyunseung. He used the back of his hand to wipe blood from his nose. “I could say the same for you.”

Hyunseung began approaching Minho. “Why’d you do it?”

Minho’s eyes darkened. “Because you’re weak, all of you.” He began advancing towards Hyunseung. “And I hate the weak. The only thing being weak does is get you killed.” He let out a yell as he and Hyunseung charged each other.

Minho’s shoulder hit Hyunseung’s stomach as he attempted to run the latter into the ground.

Hyunseung planted his feet firmly into the ground, his body only moving slightly from Minho’s attack. He then kneed Minho in the stomach twice before shoving the younger male away from him.

Minho yelled as he once again charged Hyunseung, the latter kicking his leg out to stop the oncoming attack. But Minho stopped just short of Hyunseung’s foot, grabbed the older male’s ankle and kicked him twice in the ribs and once in the cheek before turning him around and throwing him into the SUV.

Hyunseung’s head slammed into the window, cracking the glass and cutting his forehead. He pushed away from the window and moved just as Minho’s foot kicked the car.

Hyunseung kicked Minho in the stomach and then grabbed him by the back of the head and slammed him face first into the car window. He stepped back, wiping blood from the gash on his forehead, as Minho regained his balance.

Minho staggered backwards for several seconds as he waited for his vision to not be blurry. He turned around to face Hyunseung, spitting blood in the direction of the older male, and glared.

“You’ll pay for that.”

Hyunseung’s eyes narrowed. “I’m done playing with you kid.” He spit out a mouth full of blood. “Stop now and walk away. Forget everything that’s happened. Just leave.”

Minho’s glare intensified. “You think I’m weak.” Blood trailed down his face. “You’re a fool.” He began to reach behind his back. “I will never give up or lose to you.”

Hyunseung shook his head, his hand already gripping the knife hidden behind his back. “Don’t be stupid kid, you won’t win, you can’t win.”

“SHUT UP!”

Before Minho could get his gun pulled out fully, Hyunseung lunged at him, the knife plunging into Minho’s gut.

Minho body tensed, his eyes growing wide. He let out a strangled sob as his body fell against Hyunseung’s chest; his forehead resting on the latter’s shoulder and his hands gripping at Hyunseung’s back.

Hyunseung wrapped an arm around Minho as he pulled the knife out, the two of them falling to their knees. “I’m sorry kid.” He dropped the knife and placed his blood covered hand on the back of Minho’s head. “It didn’t have to be this way.” He felt Minho’s body go limp, the younger male’s hands sliding lifelessly down his back. “I’m so sorry.”

Hyunseung laid Minho’s body on the ground and just as he picked up the gun, a shot rang throughout the field.

Hyunseung turned around just in time to watch G.O. fall to the ground next to Junhyung. He was about to run towards him when another shot rang out.

Everything around Hyunseung changed as he watched Doojoon fall to the ground in front of Rain. The world began to slow down as he heard Yoseob’s screams from behind him, as he watched the fighting cease and the shocked and horrified looks consume his loved ones faces. His heart raced as he heard Junhyung yell Doojoon’s name out in anguish.

And then his heart stopped.

It stopped as he watched Junhyung get up and run towards Doojoon. It clenched in his chest as he saw Rain begin to aim the gun in Junhyung’s direction. It screamed out as he watched everyone he loved run towards the same place.

And then Yoseob was screaming his name and everything changed. His heart calmed, his head cleared, and he ran.

Hyunseung couldn’t hear the yells and pleas for him to stay away. He didn’t see some of the others running towards him to try and stop him or Doojoon attempting to move into a sitting position.

All he could hear was the beating of his own heart and his labored breathing as they echoed in his ears.

All he could see was a gun aimed at Junhyung.

The sounds of the guns going off rang loud and clear in his ears as he collided with Junhyung, the two of them falling to the ground, Rain collapsing in front of them a few seconds later.

For several seconds everyone and everything went quiet, except for the sudden gust of wind that came and blew across the field causing a layer of dirt to blow around bloodied, bruised, and dead bodies.

Junhyung never saw it coming. He didn’t notice the gun in Rain’s hand, all he could see was Doojoon. All he could focus on was getting to Doojoon. He never saw or heard Hyunseung coming…until the gun went off and Hyunseung slammed into him. He rolled onto his back and took a shaky breath. He didn’t feel anything, no pain, no blood, nothing. He could move. He wasn’t hurt.

He hadn’t been shot.

Junhyung’s eyes widened. He hadn’t been shot

“Seung.” Junhyung sat up and looked at the body next to him.

A sob escaped his lips immediately.

“Hyunseung!” Junhyung put his palm over the gunshot wound just below Hyunseung’s right collarbone, warm, thick blood oozing against his palm and flowing down his arm. “Hyunseung! Open your eyes!”

Hyunseung opened his eyes, tears falling down his cheeks, and smiled. “You’re okay.”

Junhyung choked back a sob. “Fuck Seung. FUCK!”

A pair of hands pushed Junhyung’s out of the way, taking over with applying pressure to the wound. Junhyung looked up, his tear filled eyes locking with Doojoon’s, the latter sporting a large gash on the right side of his head. Junhyung choked back another sob.

Doojoon shook his head. “The bullet only grazed me, I’ll be fine.” His voice was hoarse. Yoseob knelt next to him, his hands applying pressure to Doojoon’s.

Junhyung covered his mouth with the back of his hands, attempting to muffle his cries.

Hyunseung’s eyes fluttered open. “Doojoon, you’re okay.” He let out a cry.

“Yeah Seung, I’m okay.” Tears flowed down his cheeks.

“We’re all okay Hyunnie.” Kikwang knelt down on the other side of Hyunseung. “You will be too.” He smiled through is tears.

Dongwoon knelt next to Kikwang. “You have to be, we just, we all just…” He let out a sob, his hand squeezing Hyunseung’s. “You have to be!”

Hyunseung let out a sob and grabbed Junhyung’s thigh with his free hand. “Seob.”

“Yeah Seung.” Yoseob’s tears ran down his pale cheeks as he fought back his own sobs.

“I kept my promise.” He gave a small smile. “Everyone’s okay.”

Yoseob let out a cry. “I know.” His body shook with silent sobs. “You always look out for everyone.”

Hyunseung’s eyes closed, his tears falling faster. “Promise me,” he coughed, blood trickling through the corner of his mouth, “promise me you’ll stay together now.” He squeezed Junhyung’s thigh as he let out another sob. “Promise me!”

Junhyung finally let his sobs free. He leaned forward and placed a hand on each of Hyunseung’s cheeks, blood smearing on pale, clammy skin. “Open your eyes and stop talking like that!”

Hyunseung’s eyes opened slowly. He placed his hand on Junhyung’s cheek. “Thank you.”

Junhyung choked on a sob. “For what?”

Hyunseung’s smile was beautiful and heartbreaking. “For loving me.”

Junhyung’s sob wasn’t the only one heard as he placed his forehead against Hyunseung’s. “I’m the one who needs to thank you.” Another sob. “You saved me. You brought me back to life.” He rubbed his forehead against Hyunseung’s. “You loved me.” He let out several more sobs. “You love me.”

Hyunseung pulled his other hand away from Dongwoon and placed it on Junhyung’s other cheek. “I have always loved you Junhyung.”

They both sobbed as their lips met, blood and tears mingling with lips that fit perfectly together.

They kissed slowly and gently, letting their love for one another take over.

They kissed until Hyunseung’s lips stopped moving against Junhyung’s, his fingers falling from Junhyung’s cheeks.

Junhyung sobbed and screamed as he pulled Hyunseung’s limp body into his arms. He sobbed into Hyunseung’s bloodied neck, ignoring the sobs and screams coming from the other members.

He sobbed and hugged Hyunseung’s body until Doojoon had to drag him away, skilled hands taking the place of his on Hyunseung’s body.

“And if it’s the last breath I take, I’ll leave my kiss with you.”
