The Legend of Korra 2x07 and 2x08: Beginnings
This is not actually a coherent post about last night's Korra episodes, but mostly I want to say that anyone who liked AtLA and gave up on Korra because S1 was kind of a mess and Korra was kind of a hotheaded jerk should consider giving Korra a try again, because the last three episodes have been really good. True, they did not have much Korra in them, but the end of the last episode made me feel like Korra will be a more bearable character from now on. Also, more sky bison. Yip yip.
Plus, the last two episodes were basically an origin story for the whole avatar thing, starring the first avatar, and the art style was really really spiffy and I think trying to be more like a painting, and that was really neat. So even if you don't like Korra (but liked AtLA), it's worth seeing just on the basis of your love for AtLA.
