Prosperity Challenge - 6.5 (Days/Years 16-18 - Thigpen 2 and Academie Le Tour)
At last, finishing off round 6!
Thigpen 2
Emanuel was thrilled to live in his own home, with his own wife, and his own baby. Living with Lise and her family hadn't been all bad, and he definitely appreciated all that his sister had done for him when he really needed it, but it was really great to be out on his own. His restaurant career was really taking off lately, and Gwen was doing pretty well in politics.
Gwen had also taken up flower arranging as a hobby, and was selling a few bouquets here and there.
Before they knew it, it was already time for little Denae's birthday.
Emanuel didn't want to brag, but he thought it was likely that she was the most beautiful little girl in the world.
Emanuel's nephew, Bob, had started working with him at the restaurant and often came over to play with Denae.
College

Shena Thigpen (Shena decided to stay with purple hair, but switched up the look a little bit.)
The three girls pooled their resources for the first semester of college and lived in one of Academie Le Tour's dorms.
Shena was pretty much happy anywhere, so long as she had her guitar with her.
She and Nevada were even making a little money playing at the student center. Xi Centauri was still alive and well. True, they didn't have a drummer, or any fans, but Shena knew that these things took time.
Nevada liked being in a "band", but her real dream for college was to join a Greek House. It just killed her that Shena's brother Bob had founded one and Shena didn't even care to try to join. Belva was quickly won over, however, and when the two of them pleaded with Shena in unison, she finally gave in and agreed to pledge with them.
And that was how they came to meet Melanie Lind, the only active member of the house. Shena actually had met her before since she was kind of dating her brother. They hadn't gotten off on the best foot back then.
But they were both willing to bury the hatchet, and all three girls were accepted with a minimum of embarrassing hazing. It's possible that Melanie would have let anyone in just to get some roommates into the house, but in the end everyone got along rather well.
Nevada and Shena especially shared a special bond. They'd been best friends since they were children and had just moved to Winterfell.
They were so inseparable that Belva often felt a little jealous. Nevada was her sister, after all, and it seemed like the triplets weren't as close once Anabel decided not to go to college.
Belva almost wished she could play an instrument so that she could be more included in Nevada's life.
In the end though, she decided to stick to her strengths and vowed to make her own friends.

Shena and Nevada really are great friends; I've never had two sims so platonically in love with each other. If there is anything that I'm doing that makes following these entires confusing, please let me know. I'm very open to experimenting with formating! I know prosperity challenges can be hard to follow with so many characters and families. I'll try very hard to keep the family trees and bios page updated.
