Hello everyone! I've just bought Sims 3 on Friday so I'm very new to it. I've played Sims 2 for a long, long time but the Generations EP and the new ads for the Pets EP sucked me in! I really, really really... really want to like TS3.   Yet every time I try to play I just can NOT do it.  :(   I'm trying to figure out what i don't like and what bothers me the most, and here we go (sorry for the rantiness and the negativity, but this has been building up since launch...)

I got rid of my laptop and am shopping for a new computer. Obviously, something along the lines of an Alienware would be the best bet, but I'm a college student, and my budget isn't that big. Anyone else already bored with the game, and how long did it take for you to get bored? I'm actually surprised that it took me this long to get bored with it, but after losing 4 families because of the game crashing and not being able to save them with the backups I've just had enough. It sucks when I get a family so far ahead in their careers, etc ( Read more... )

I guess I'm a control freak, I have free will set to high but yet I'm always telling my Sims what to do. I want to see them do stuff on their own and I want to see what other people will say to my Sims but I just keep telling them what to do.
