My alarm failed to go off so I woke up at 10am. And I had a singing lesson in Pittsmoor at 11.15. Arse. So I called my dad, who very kindly drove me into Sheffield so I'd actually manage to get there.

I have a cold. My sinuses feel the size of watermelons, I can't breathe through my nose at all,  I keep sneezing (which hurts), my face feels almost bruised, my nose runs almost constantly, my throat is sore and my head aches and my shoulders and neck feel like I've been attacked by a baseball bat-wielding maniac.

Saturday

Went ito Sheffield to get the coach to Tideswell for the rehearsal and concert. I sat at the back with Pete (conductor of the main choir, my new singing teacher), his wife Cat, Rosie and Rob (who I know quite well from Small Groups), which was fun. Concert on Wednesday went quite well, which was nice.

Last night we rehearsed for the carol concert. It was a little weird because I moved back to alto for the carols, mostly due to already knowing the alto part for a lot of them and not knowing the tenor part for any. Carols are fun.

I'm tired. I went to sleep at about 8am this morning, woke up at 10am and then at 20-minute intervals until I gave up at noon and got up.

I just can't seem to motivate myself to do anything lately, including going into uni for lectures. Which sucks. I'm getting rather behind.

Sonia (who brought me the Hollyhog) called last night while I was sleeping (it was only 8.30pm but I was knackered, having not slept at all the night before) and told Michael they'd found another little one, about the same size.

I called them back this morning, and they're bringing it round tomorrow afternoon. That will be three hogs in the house. ( Read more... )
