The band tally continues! 2012 was a pretty sweet year, with new skills (got my black belt in crowdsurfer management) and new bands (you might recall I've mentioned this little local band LUTHER a time or two) and even a Special Guest Appearance by perennial best band MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE.

There is something about being at a rock show that just fills my spirit. Looking back on 2011 I have to say that even though I probably ought to have been saving much more money toward my goals for this year, I can't regret anything spent on my MCR road trips. To be honest, I still don"t know how to describe this recent road trip. I used to call my show excursions "sprees" but they stopped being that a long time ago: now I want transformation when I hit the road. I want magic as well as music. And I usually get it. There’s a mask hanging on my wall. It’s half black and half yellow, the colors of my Killjoy’s badge. It wasn’t made to be worn, not really. But I had it with me in Denver, I tucked it into my bag and carried it along with me like a secret revolutionary going to a meeting, and it my password.
