Okay, off I go into the great unknown (okay, the now very well-known and well-traveled) toward Nike. It's really getting to be routine for me now, which is kinda crap because soon I may have to completely change how I do this walking-to-get-fit thing. I've been pushing myself to put in three hours, not just two, but if I get a job, that'll cut down on how much time I have in the evenings and such. It will be more difficult, but I will continue to do it, even if that means I have to wear bug spray in the evenings.
Also, commencing yesterday is my latest FULL ON JOB SEARCH! I've been renewing applications as they've become available (You have already applied to this posting within (6 months/90 days/etc) messages blow), but I've got to step it up. We need to get money together. We're not in debt, as I thought yesterday, but we aren't making any headway at all. We're just breaking even. That won't do. So, I'm tightening our budget, and I'm renewing my job search again. I'm looking for secretarial positions at this point--receptionist and such. I don't have much experience with "answering phones" and I probably wouldn't want to list any of my friends as references that I answer my phone (haha), but I do have experience greeting people and getting them all set up with "appointments" (okay, seating and wait line, but I was damn good at that, and that requires a juggling act of time management). So, we'll see how it goes and if it leads anywhere. My latest *ooh I hope I get this one* was as a receptionist at a veterinary hospital. They seem very groovy, and with all the pet-crises lately, I feel an even stronger yearning to be there to at least be a sympathetic face when people bring in their beloved pet.
Anyway, I have to get going like....now. But, I'm going to try and keep my head up, focus on studying diligently for the JLPT 3, do my best to budget the household expenses to put money back into our savings, give it my all looking for a job, and get through my days with more smiles than frowns.
