My homework is roughly done, huzzah!
Today was a mixed bag to say the least. I am happy that it's Labor Day and that I don't have to labor at work, but my day wasn't all that stellar either. I got up early to head over to Chris' house so he could replace my CV axle. First, I don't really like getting up early unless I have to, and secondly the axle still isn't replaced. I could have put up with the fact that I had to wait in his house, alone with his kids (who literally climbed all over me) if the job had been done, but it wasn't. To be short, the bolts holding my axle were so rusted in place that one of his tools snapped in the process of getting it off. Not his fault, not my fault but I'm still disappointed because the joint sounds pretty bad. Since I paid for the part, I'll have to take my car back to him to finish getting it serviced. I'm not looking forward to going back to his house, which could be called filthy at best. No one wonder his children (he has four and he's younger than I am) always seem to be sick. The neat-freak in me was almost tempted to volunteer to clean his house. XD
As I stated earlier, my homework is just about done, except that I need today's newspaper. I walked to four different stores and none of them had a copy of the Philadelphia Inquirer or The Philadelphia Daily News. I need the paper because in my broadcast writing class, we get quizzed every week on stuff from Monday's paper. I can read the on-line version, but it's only around for today, and I'm in trouble if I need to brush up on something. I'm almost tempted to take a car ride to go out searching for the paper.
By the way, my law homework had to be one of the most tedious things I've read in a long while. I'll have to remind myself to never make law assignments last minute assignments.
On a final note, chemical burns suck. Even if the offending chemical is rinsed off, the burned area of the skin still continues to ache for quite a while. I'm glad that my arm is no longer discolored, but the swelling and itching make the day rather uncomfortable. It feels like I was bitten by multiple mosquitoes in the same area.
Now for some dinner, a reading of the on-line edition of the local paper and some video games afterwards. I can't let my day off from work go completely to disappointment and school work.
