So, back from the Ex-Con Explorer Competition in Las Vegas. We did okay, considering most of our group (4 out of the 6 explorers) had never been to a competition. Last night the Explorer post attended the Peace Officer Memorial Service. It was nice, or as close to nice as a memorial can be. Governor spoke, motor officer demonstration, 21-gun salute, etc. We got to see several of the higher-ups in the Department (did our "Hi, I'm so-and-so from the Explorer post") and the El Mirage post was there.
