My (not relaxing) Go, Go, Go Summer

Jul 21, 2006 18:01

An update is needed. Because today it RAINED! And I stood outside in it and it was wonderful. (((bliss)))

Ummm... I haven't really updated in a really long time. I think I mentioned that the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar was pretty damn awesome. The PC (physical conditioning) was hard, especially at the altitude, but the people were amazing.

I had a couple weeks back, but it hardly felt like it. My first week was filled with medical exams for the Academy, Explorer stuff, interview for the Academy, etc... The second week I spent volunteering at the DPS Photo Lab (check, yes! very awesome) and trying to relax.

A week in Flagstaff for Explorer Nationals. It was ok... The seminars weren't that great, except for the self-defense which was really informative (and hands-on, so you actually learned- no slideshows!). Only two competitions, and we didn't do that great. Hanging with the guys was ok, but got a little tense near the end.

And this week? Relax? Ha. Photo Lab again, and trying to prep for school and the Explorer academy next week.

I love you all, but now I must away to watch Stargate.

[much love, quidditch, and event horizons]
