Why is it that I am the only person who can actually get my niece to let me brush her hair? I mean, the kid screams bloody murder if most people breathe in the vicinity of her hair. It seems forever since I’ve updated, but things have really been busy. Even when I haven’t been able to sleep, I’ve been too tiredto type. I haven’t answered much personal email or PMs, either. Mostly I’ve read my F-list and a few communities and only responded to things where I could be really brief and didn’t have to exert myself mentally.

I grew up in a matriarchy, so I have so many women to who were strong examples. In addition to unconditional love, self-confidence and good manners, the women in my family taught me many things.

Baby CJ had her first birthday last night. She’s not sure what’s up with all of these presents, but she thinks the wrapping paper is fun. She did not like either of her hats, which was no surprise, since she rips bows out of her hair.

All right, I missed the last two days of my eight days of joy.  I had a good reason. My aunt overdosed Thursday night. It’s not the first time she’s tried, but she finally succeeded.

Needless to say, the next few days are going to be rather strained.

I feel like rambling today.

I got fitted for new bras because I've lost so much weight I don't have enough hooks on my old bras to keep them from being loose. I knew that my boobs really hadn't dropped size-wise.
