Roses for K

Friday was K's birthday.

I gifted her a kurta, two cakes and a bunch
(not a bouquet) of yellow rosebuds.

She was totally thrilled by the latter.
I have always disliked bouquets, I find them
too elaborate and artificial. Maybe it is because
they draw more attention towards the arrangement
than towards the flowers themselves.

As for the highly embellished ones, with ribbons,
streamers, glitter, nets and other knickknacks,
I just can't stand them.

What I love best is flowers on trees, next come plain
bunches of flowers (preferably one or at the most two
types)tied together with a simple string. That is just
what I gifted K, and she loved it.

I saw a really cute blackwhite kitten today.
I wanna kitty of my own :(
