Strand book fair

Jan 31, 2006 17:52

I visited the Strand Book Fair at Sunderbai hall this
afternoon. To my relief, it wasn't very crowded.
Methinks the collection was smaller too, because
I finished browsing the entire collection
in a little over 2 hours.

As usual, I looked at the International Handbook of
Design and fell in love with some of the designs.
I also saw a coffee table book about the work of
architect Renzo Piano. Some buildings were stunningly
creative and breathtakingly beautiful.

I bought:
The Psmith Omnibus P.G.Wodehouse
Life at Blandings P.G.Wodehouse
(each comprising of three novels)
Joseph Andrews Henry Fielding
Japanese Fairytales
The Lost World Arthur Conan Doyle

All these are paperbacks and I got them for really reasonable prices.
*does a happy dance*
I am planning to go once more before the fair ends.

We ate at Ikay's inside Churchgate Station. The sandwich and
pizza were strictly okay; I must try their Chinese food
next time. The cold coffee at Hans Juice Centre in SNDT khau galli was
sickeningly sweet*gags*

book, food, wodehouse
