Oh, I'm sick of the wind.
But I learned something new that may help me lessen my hatred and learn to have more love and appreciation for the wind.
Apparently studies have been conducted that show plants grown in greenhouses produce more fruit when they are shaken. I think the study specifically involved tomatoes. So, the wind shaking the plants ( Read more... )

I just realized I'm really scared to write anything that isn't a haiku, a formal essay, or some type of collective poetry. Well, stupid live journal entries too, clearly.

I keep having all these ideas. But I only write down words and phrases and never full sentences. I tell myself I'll fill in the blanks and post them eventually, but I never do.

I'm in the process of editing and uploading some photos I took at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek. With the help of my knowledgeable plant friend I was able to identify most everything down to genus, but I'm still unsure of some of the species. If you can identify either of these let me know! I'll post more as I edit.

Now that I have an espresso machine I am even more spoiled for coffee. I use illy or Raven's Brew. I make a double shot and then dissolve a tablespoon of sugar and add 2 oz. of half and half and 2 oz. of 2% milk. Then I put it in the freezer for a bit. No other coffee compares now.
