Have a 'great slide into the New Year' as well! I wish you and your family and friends the best for the New Year. ♥
Well... I see your dislike of Hisagi as a challenge then - let's see if I can't get you to like at least my stories. *grins* I write Hisagi with Kensei. (the latter also with others like Lisa or Matsumoto) But those two men are my focus for the time being. hehe
lol @ the madness ensuing between Kenpachi and Hanataru. (oh my!) love your choice of Urahara and Yoruichi. :) Those two are great together.
Oh! And you say you don't like Ichigo/Rukia? That piece is quite lovely. And IC and sums them up pretty well in 100 words. Very nice.
I had a very relaxed New Year's Eve, thank you. :) And we had some bit of snow as well! I enjoyed a very long walk today along the riverside through a world covered in white - beautiful.
Oh? Not much personality? Now that is food for thought. Interesting.
I don't get Kenpachi/Hanatarou, I honestly don't. Nor Byakuya/Hanatarou, incidentally. I'm not that big a Hanatarou fan to begin with The same here. Especially since neither Kenpachi nor Byakuya have any relation to Hanataru. Not to mention that the latter is usually uke-fied to the extreme in most fic, epspecially with those two.
More because I can't see Ichigo in relationships. Well, to me Ichigo is a child first and foremost, so no, I don't really see him any sort of relationship either. At least not at the current age.

I knew when I posted this that some people would be saddened by this, heh. Hisagi has a large share of fans, and understandably so. I do think he's an awesome character, he just doesn't speak to me like some do. Maybe because his personality is too straight-laced? I like the oddities more than I do people like Hisagi.
Ahh, now that makes much more sense. Yes, he is quite 'straight' (in a sense, although with his tendency to oppress though there is a bit more to him than meets the eye. ;) )
And, I am not saddened by your former statement - I had expected a lot but not that reason, I guess.
Well, compared to Mayuri Hisagi is boring. That's just plain truth. ;) (I am a bit of a closet fan of Mayuri. I like him but haven't actively pursued his character by reading stories etc.)
Good. I always feel bad explaining my dislike - again, dislike is a big word, disinterest might fit better - for someone's favourite character and I knew I had plenty Hisagi-fans on my flist. He is awesome, just not the awesome that would spark more of an interest in me. I wouldn't necessarily write or read fic about him. His relationship with Kensei - and Tousen, too - is fascinating, but not enough to work with for me. I doubt I could do him justice anyway, as the intricacies of his character are somewhat lost on me. I'd probably fail horribly. XD
Oh? What is usually the reason for not liking him, then? *curious*
Heh, well, it takes a lot to be as 'interesting' as Mayuri. Which isn't necessarily a compliment. Then again, I also like Byakuya, who is very different from both Mayuri and Zaraki. I suppose Byakuya's difficult personality intrigues me. *stops babbling now*
And you should totally try some Mayuri! I don't get enough time to write him, but he's such fun to work with.
See, I can very much understand you. I share similar feelings on other characters - I see literally nothing in them and wouldn't even know where to start should I ever have to write them. (on the other hand, it can be good to leave one's comfort zone at times like with prompts)
Oh? What is usually the reason for not liking him, then? *curious* Well, I haven't heard many reasons but I can see people not liking him for being too 'proper' or for appearing like such a fanboy of Tousen or even Kensei (just look at that tattoo). Also up until recently he had been quite impassionate and always appeared balanced and calm.

I'm waiting to be shown otherwise, though. ;)
