I saw the Golden Compass yesterday.. And I really rather liked it.

I think the best part about the movie was the anti-religion factor.  The first thing the movie tells you is that there are other universes - which basically equates to an alternative explanation as to how we came about... Meaning an alternative to God.

So it's really over.  No more year 10.

In hindsight, it went past quickly.  Amazingly so.  One minute we were just getting our bearings, the next we were halfway through the year, after that we were studying for exams, and now, well, it's over.  And I'm actually quite sad.  I'm gong to miss it.

Dares to try and shove    one    more    idea or strategy or scenario relating to depression (mental illnesses in general too), alcohol or drug use, I will personally throttle them.

I understand the risks that go with alcohol and drugs, and I know personally I will probably never take illicit drugs, and I do not plan on getting drunk anytime soon.  ( Read more... )
