“You didn’t burn yourself did you?!” America was immediately hovering over him and England waved him off.
“Of course not, you dolt!” He said, flushing as America was checking over every inch of exposed skin.
“Phew... you scared me there, Sweetheart. And you know what this is better.”
“If this is some kind of crack at my cooking...”
“No, I get my two favorite things all at once.”

“You made hot chocolate! I seriously love you right now!” America gushed causing his lover to flush in embarrassment.
“Quiet you! It’s not for any special reason!”
“Except that you love me. But I already knew that part.” he grinned as he sipped his drink. England’s cheeks heated again and he looked away from that satisfied smile.
“Don’t read too much into it you sod.” he said, trying to hold in a smile from the silly sounds America was making as he sipped, happily. He didn’t even have a chance to protest before he was being pulled into a hug.
