“I can’t believe you bundled up like a child about to go sledding.” England chuckled as he looked towards his lover, and he was unclear about how many layers exactly the other had on.
“It’s cold out here!” he protested as he shuffled along like some ridiculous scene out of a holiday movie. England could barely even see his face as it was covered up with a large scarf, one that he had proudly knitted himself for the other.
“I have a question.” he asked quietly.
“What?”
“Do I get to unwrap you once we get home?” he smiled, teasingly.

They lay with each other, under the sparkling lights in the bedroom, watching the colors dance across each other’s skin. America smiled down at him, as England stretched out across his chest, resting his cheek above his heart.
“What are you thinking about?” the younger man asked.
The older flushed slightly, “Well, I was wondering if we could revisit the idea...”
“No way.”
“It’s not like I would tell anyone about you wearing them...”
“The answer is still no, but if you come up here, I’ll make it up to you.” The kiss banished those thoughts, for the moment anyway.

America couldn’t wait for the bread to cool, having just pulled it out of an oven. Sure, he had made it out of a box recipe, but he knew it would be good all the same and time was of the essence. Finally! It was cool enough to eat it.
He even gave his boyfriend the honor of cutting the first slice off the creation. Although he had rolled his eyes, however, when he handed half the slice to him. He broke off a piece and offered it to England. The other blushed but took it, causing him to smile.

“No, the wind stops when it’s snowing, I like it.” he replied. England nodded, enjoying how the snow muffled the sounds, isolating them in the world that was now only shades of gray in the endless flakes of white. They were on their way home now. He paused on the bridge, wanting something in this beautiful landscape.
“Hold on.” he said, reaching up to pull down the scarf that covered much of America’s face. He leaned up, pressing his cold lips the the other’s warm ones.
