Can't believe they're doing Rolling Stones. I can't possibly imagine Tim or Lacey being good tonight...or really most of the others.
Big Mike (Miss You) - Yeah, so maybe he's a big cheesy ham, but you know what? He's entertaining and in tune. And his falsetto is Michael Jackson-esque, in a good way. A very solid performance.
Did I just see the Asian breakdancer guy from Glee behind the judges?
Didi Benami (Playing With Fire) - Oh...sexyface much? She definitely looks more confident tonight. This was a good song choice for her. I actually like her upper register better than the lower. I did hear the slipup, but it was barely noticeable. That was a good explanation of her song choice too.
Casey (It's All Over Now) - Am I a bad person for saying that Casey's mom looks like a total whack job? Mat sez: "Nice guitar strap". I don't know, I'm not loving it. His voice has this weird quaver in it. It got a lot better as it went on, though. Mat sez "I actually liked it - it had an interesting country twang to it, that the Stones didn't put in it". It was all right, I guess. Will probably hold up as one of the better performances tonight.
Did Ellen just make a lesbian joke?
Lacey (Ruby Tuesday) - Not a good start pitchwise. OK....no. Really? Katelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott are slamming their heads against the wall right now. It was shaky, pitchy, and just not good. Mat sez: "Dislike". She held it together, Randy? Is that all you need in a performance nowadays? Also, WTF is she wearing? Is that a bustier?
Andrew (Gimme Shelter) - Mat sez: " Uh oh, he's screwed. He can't sing a female pop song this week". I like his tone - it's finally coming out tonight. A couple pitch probs on lower notes. Nice glory note at the end there. That was definitely his best performance live. I like the turns he took with some of the notes.
Katie (Wild Horses) - I actually think she was better at the beginning rather than when she hit the chorus. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. She was oversinging in parts. But it was as good of a song choice as she could've picked with this theme.
Every commercial break, the local news is freaking out about Shiobhan Magnus, and how she's from the Cape.
Tim Urban (Under My Thumb) - This is actually kinda pleasant. Very laid back and cool. I'm not familiar with the original, so I don't know how much he changed it up. Apparently a lot. I guess that's why it bothered the judges.
Shiobhan (Paint it Black) - Her family looks like crazy-ass fun hippies. Awesome song choice. She has a weird way of enunciating - like it's too far back in her head. WOW - the end was really really really good. She made a lot of changes with that, she's clearly very artistic and knowledgable about music.
Lee (Beast of Burden) - Another cool song. Very nice. I like what he did with it. He had less glaring pitch problems than the past couple weeks.
Wow, Crystal's getting a serious pimp spot. Not just going last, but having Aaron and Paige directly before her. She could probably belch into the microphone and it would sound better than whatever Paige does, for sure. Let's see...

Paige (Honky Tonk Woman) - OK, so it's not terrible. At least she's into it this week - she has much better stage presence. It was definitely much better than her past few performances. She finally let her "big voice" out. Well, they definitely got out the vote for her with all that
Aaron (Angie) - Is his mom's name Kelly Kelly? This is starting pretty good. He's dialing it back and it's working. I actually really liked that. No pitch issues, and it was heartfelt. Again, a very good song choice for him.
Crystal (You Can't Always Get What You Want) - Her dad's kind of adorable. Wow, she must have won the song lottery. I like how she had the softer side and then the belting. She can really do it all with her voice. It was an interesting interpretation of the song for sure. That was kind of an awkward comment for Simon to make.
I will say, tonight was much better than I expected. Now on to the rankings. Actually, there was only one person who was legitimately bad, and that's Lacey. Can she plz leave now??? KTHX!
