Occasionally, I will do a 'big breakfast' lunch-in-a-pan for Kit. Because it is pretty and because I wash ONE PAN.

The big breakfast looks FANTABULOUS! I'm so going home tonight to fry up some bacon and ham!

Apple jelly will probably go nicely with some roast chicken too. Or, if you do lamb chops, put some on the side when you plate it! (Just some ideas if you've gone halal/kosher.)

YAH I love big breakfast. It's so easy to do, so tasty and so little to wash! All major food groups covered-- fried, salty and fruit!

I shall keep an eye out for the avocado and lime mustard, sounds most interesting. Though with a big jar of miracle whip in fridge (SOMEBODY thought miracle whip= half priced mayonnaise), I have to say I'm not too big on creamy condiments these days. But M+S still has the most yummy things for sale. Love the crisps and biscuits!

BTW, did you ever get that M+S ring you loved so much?

Wow! You remember the ring? Yes, as a matter of fact, I did get it. Although I got it in a fit of anger and argument. I eventually decided it was a sheer waste of money and returned it within a week. Haha! When I returned it, I put down "mispurchase" as my reason for return!

the avacado/mint/lime mustard is rather interesting. i quite enjoy it with battered-ish food. Yet to try it with fresh greens.

M&S is probl one of the few brands of biscuits i eat. Arnotts too! Their choc digestives! OMG! I can solo an entire pack!!!

But i thought you LOVED that ring?! So angry until dowan ah!

So atas! Only M+S biscuits for you! But truth be told, i do like the english brands such as Mc Vities and M+S but also some European brands. Not such a big fan of chocolate though, but i hear that arnotts has a rapt following amongst my friends for their tarts and tim tams.

Since you get M&S, you should try the Avacado & Lime/lemon mustardy sauce thingum that they retail. It's like a nice mix between tartare sauce and Mayonnaise.

Haha, apriltuna ate the apple jelly neat i.e., spoonfuls as a snack. Apple jelly is good on chicken and pork, but sometimes as a break from regular jam, it's good too! Artistic picture!

My goodness! He must have spent a lot of time at the gym working it off then!!!

What's the difference between a jam and jelly? is it a matter of semantics or something else? I've always thought that a jelly had pectin and less sugar but jam was just boiled fruit in sugar. Do you know?

Thought of you when i took the picture. wanted to show you that your lugging jars of canadian produce was not in vain!!!! Kit was literally shovelling equal parts of mustard and sausage into his gob as quick as he could after I told him we had to ration the mustard. 0_o

I think jelly's sorta more like a sauce you eat with meats (cranberry jelly, mint jelly) whereas jam is the stuff you dump onto bread in the morn!

Therefore, jelly is more wobbly (my thighs and underarms are the most wobbly!) but lighter on the palate since it's meant to accompany something that already has flavour, not overwhelm the neutral flavour of bread.

From http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/question84.htm:

# In jelly, the fruit comes in the form of fruit juice.
# In jam, the fruit comes in the form of fruit pulp or crushed fruit (and is less stiff than jelly as a result).

I'm glad you're enjoying the food. I'll have a root around to see what else I can find. Let him eat lah! Then dream maple mustard dreams =)
