[ Graduation ]
Got up late, which was nice, and ate left overs from my graduation party yesterday, which was fun. The crab cakes were a tasty late brunch.
Graduation itself wasn't so bad. Problem was mainly the heat (about 85) in the mandatory blue blazers (yuck). It was also a bit long winded, but I rather liked Dr. Shanon's speech. Somehow this didn't feel much different from other school assemblies where the senior's processed. Maybe more uncomfortable onstage, due to heat. But after leaving the auditorium, I just was looking for a way out, just like after any other ceremony where the hallway was full. Somehow, I failed to feel either nostalgic, or, more surprisingly, relieved. It didn't seem different. I suppose it will set in at some point, but there was hardly an overflow of emotion today.
Went to Whitney and Paul's graduation party, and the Pegden's house, I must say, was quite impressive. The party was fun, and Katie and I were low key, and just hung out in the pretty garden and enjoyed the good food, Mark's random entrances, and cuddling.
I am now very tired. Maybe more later on my graduation party, which I had a great time at.
