(no subject)
I am working full time this summer at the Chatham Arts camp, which is a very cute experience, as most of the kids I am instructing/counselor for (I have a very flexible position) are K-5 or so (also a very trying job, but worth it).
Point being, I am working 7.5 hours a day 5 days a week for 6 weeks, and my boss won't give me one day off (asked weeks in advance) to go to my governor's school reunion. This seems silly.
Katie came over yesterday, and my old piano teacher and her husband (who hired my dad for his current job of 20+ years) were visiting from Utah. It was a nice dinner, and we all did particularly well on Katie's STILL WARM "Chocolate Intrigue" cake.
More work tomorrow, but I'm subbing for an art teacher for older kids (grades 3rd-8th) so that should be relaxing by comparison.
