KISS ME, I'M JAPANESE
(A SHONEEN ST. PATRICK'S DAY CONTEST)
I know what you all must be thinking. "What in the world does an Irish holiday have to do with the Japanese idols I fangirl?"
The answer is: nothing really. But that's not going to stop shoneenclub from throwing a party! Because we'll never miss an opportunity to let the talented members of this community shine. we want fanfic yes we do, we want graphics, how 'bout you?
Once you see the theme I think you'll all understand - this holiday has plenty to offer as inspiration.
REQUIREMENTS:
✯ 400 Words Minimum (FICTION)
✯ 3 Poems (POETRY)*
✯ Can be sketches, paintings, a comic, manipulations, wallpapers, or a series of AT LEAST THREE icons (GRAPHICS)
✯ Rating: Anywhere from G to NC-17 is acceptable
✯ Can be AU or drama based.
✯ Must be centered around Sho and Nino as a pair - friendship or romantic.
✯ Prompt: Include one of the following St. Patrick's Day themes in your work -
- Luck
- Green
- Beer
- Fist Fight
Prompts do not have to be literal, so long as we know they've been referred to - for example, someone could turn "green with envy". But I hope you will all be a little more creative than that. ;D
(Please note I would have included 'rainbows', but that is just far too easy!)
*Note: This is for people writing in styles like limerick or haiku. Other, more lengthy styles only 1 poem is required, but use your best judgment.
SUBMISSIONS:
✿ Must be received by March 16th, 2010 (earlier submissions are welcome *wink wink nudge nudge*) by 10:00 PM EST.
✿ Email submissions to shoneenclub@gmail.com as an attachment (fic as word document - remember any html!) with the following information:

✿ Members CAN submit more than one entry, but they cannot be the same type of fanwork. For example: A fanfic and another fanfic will not be permitted, but a fanfic and a wallpaper will. Contact the mods if you are unsure about this!
HOW THIS WORKS: As of now, the plan is to have graphics, poetry, and fiction all grouped together in the contest. However, if we receive enough graphics submissions, the contest will be separated into graphics for one contest and fiction/poetry for the other.
★ PRIZES
The top 3 submissions as voted by ShoNeen Club members will receive custom banners and their name in the community profile.
FIRST PLACE: Bonus prize - $5.00 livejournal gift certificate.
Voting: Submissions will be posted anonymously on March 17th with voting from March 18th - March 20th.
Results: Posted on March 20th or 21st.
