Kinda odd
This is only the second year since I started in the SCA 5 or 6 years ago, that I'm not going to Gulf Wars. Granted, I have no intention on going again, either, but I have to admit, it's been odd to read the status of friends that are going as they have been getting ready. Now, the next week will likely be a lot of radio silence as they are actually in Mississippi. *lol*
Admittedly, it's been nice not rushing around, getting last-minute stuff together, packing, etc.
However, I always end up hurting myself while there, and was hopeful to escape that this year. Yeah, right. *lol* Instead, in trying to open a freaking pickle jar, I ended up hurting my wrist. Seriously. To the point that I'm pretty sure I've either sprained it, or I have seriously strained the tendons. Either way, pain meds (well, Alleve anyway) have been taken, and I have the damn thing in a wrist brace John got a couple years ago when he injured his wrist fighting. Suck.
