So after much bantering back and forth as well as picking on each other, we agreed that he could come over for ribs tonight.
To make it very short and sweet. . .he hovered, he kept offering up suggestions of how I should cook the ribs. . .huh? I mean, NOBODY dares get in my way when I am cooking, especially when it is the ribs. So I am alternating between wanting to kick him in the balls and grabbing him and kissing him. So frustrating.
We had a decent chat while he was here and then his friend called to tell him he had a flat. Okay, I felt like it was a "get out of jail free" card. Which, if he didn't want the ribs, well, he didn't have to come over. He called later, tald me some story about having to tow the car with his jeep. Again, at this point, I was over it and just smiled and said "okay."
Fast forward to Thursday morning--he asks how I liked his story, I said, "the one where your friend had a flat?" He says no, his friend really had a flat, he was talking about when he said he actually towed the car for his friend. Apparently, he was waiting for me to call him out on his shit. . .um, why would you do this to someone who has trust issues?
Bottom line, we had a nice time hanging out but he keeps showing me that he is 24 and that is frustrating.
