Today was the infamous first day. The editing wasn't anything special, as it was a half day and they had the interns reading mostly Associated Press stories, but it looks like it'll pick up as the summer goes by. They kept some of my headlines, but most of the stories I read ended up getting held for later days. So it goes with wire stuff. No big deal.
An interesting thing we learned today: Jeffrey Dahmer lived (and did most of his killing) about three blocks from where we live now. Granted, the city tore down his apartment building a while back and probably would be more comfortable forgetting the whole thing ever happened, but it's still kind of interesting. I knew this was a shady neighborhood, but I didn't think it was that shady.
