Want to make a real post about our trip to Olympics and such after my parents leave but want to break my silence by whining really fast.
I have sinus problems all the time, so when my sinuses felt super full last week and I got a bit of a sore throat from drainage, I didn't think much of it. Finally after a night of 103+ fever and Olly checking with a casual response of "yeahhh you have grossness in there", I went to the doctor on Tuesday morning. The doc took one look at my throat and said "Eeeewwwww", checked my ears as they felt super full, felt my swollen glands, and then wrote me a massive dose of penicillin (2000mg/day for 5 days). I was in his office for maybe two minutes. I think he wanted to be rid of me ASAP- my fever was breaking as I was in there and I was soaking wet.
I'm still feeling pretty rough, and both sides of my throat are now grossness. I don't think I've ever had a throat infection quite this badly. Not sure if it's strep, but probably-- it's not swollen quite enough to be tonsillitis. If you want to see a really good and disgusting photo, I totally have one that I'll be kind enough to link you to here:
probably not as gross as I'm working it up to be.
Anyway, fever was gone this morning but back now, so who knows when this will clear up. It's ruined a few plans we had w/ my parents, but I don't think they mind. We managed to do the Main Event, anyway, which I'm thankful for.
