Tomorrow Claire and I will be participating in the Extra Life charity gaming marathon. This marathon is raising money for the Children's Miracle Network hospitals, and we are raising for the Children's Hosptial of Illinois specifically. We've raised our goal once (from $250 to $500) and are just dollars from hitting that new goal. Honestly when we do, I'll raise it again! If you haven't donated and have some extra cash to give to these kids, then check out my donation page
here! We'll be streaming all day as long as the computer will let us; we'll be taking 5-10 minute breaks on the hour as needed. You can watch the stream
here. Watch us if we're up, and if we're not and there's no message otherwise, wait a few minutes and we will be. I'll be live tweeting on @theshmackattack.
We got our shirt (for hitting $200 and paying an optional registration fee to cover admin costs) which I got in a small for Claire to wear but she'll still swim in it. She can wear it for years, though, and it's a good shirt. I think I've got everything set up- I have energy drinks for the last push, and a few good snacks, and the main thing I'm worried about is taking breaks to make a stew for dinner! But, Claire and I are taking turns so there should be no problem there unless she gets bored. We'll be streaming Minecraft for sure, and on my shifts I'll probably be streaming Dwarf Fortress for at least part of the time, and some indie games for the rest. Looking forward to it, and I hope you are able to get a chance to see some of it!
