Title: Slipping Under
Author: Ann Somerville
Status: Complete (oneshot)
Genre: Romance, paranormal
Rating: T+
Summary (by author): Unwanted attention in a big city is rarely a good thing. But what if you couldn’t even get that?
Opinion: It's a long oneshot, and a good one. I really liked the original concept the author had built - it made sense to me. Even if it was never truly explained in the end, it still made sense to me - that's what I like about it: Not that an extra explanation wouldn't have been nice, but the story was satisfying enough just being itself. And the whole time my emotions were right along side with Euan's, the main character. It's hard to elaborate this without spoiling the plot... Like, when Euan wanted some thing, I was afraid the author might have had other plans for him; and when he got along well, the old plan suddenly lost its appeal. That said, the characters are not as in-depth as I would have liked - sure, Euan'd got a personality, but I'd love for it to stand out more, to emerge onto the surface instead of being just right there under water level...
You know, I think I'm more talkative when it's late at night. Yeah.
