Great idea of the week:
One of my friends was in an intramural soccer tournament in his undergrad, and they named their team "bye week." They won all of their games by forfeit, because the other teams didn't show up because it said "bye week" on the online schedule. So they made it to the championship game without having to do anything.
Sidenote: they lost the championship game badly.
