So I'm all moved out of South Bend, and temporarily staying with the parents of another intern in Arlington. It's really close to my job. I'll be moving into my new place by Mount Vernon Square on Saturday, and then doing stuff on Capitol Hill all next week.
I'll post a for-real update with more info after I get all situated, but for now I'll share a few things I enjoyed about my drive down here:

-When I stopped to get gas, in the men's restroom the hand dryer brand was "Hands on," and below it someone had written "apply directly to the hands. Apply directly to the hands." I found this hilarious, and laughed.

-I like it when oncoming traffic on the highway flashes their headlights at you to warn of a speedtrap ahead. It's a small way of subverting the government. It really represents the best of society: willingness to help others, and the ability to make and subsequently bend rules.
