Quick update
Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick!)
People have been asking, so I thought I'd give you a short update about what's going on, even though I'm not sure yet. I turned in my revised thesis to my reviewers today (104 pages), so now I just have to defend it in two weeks, make whatever revisions they suggest, and turn it in to the grad school. Come May I should have an MS from Notre Dame.
This summer I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I applied to a geoscience policy internship in DC, but it's highly competitive, so I'm not counting on getting it. Otherwise, I'd love to travel this summer, since it may be one of the last major chances I get. I might have to get a job too, just depends on how finances work.
In fall I'll be entering into an environmental health program, but I'm not sure where yet. So far I've been accepted at Michigan (Ann Arbor), Minnesota (twin cities), Emory, Boston University, and Pittsburgh. I've also been offered a trip to visit Washington (Seattle), although they haven't technically told me if I'm accepted yet. I have to decide by April 15th where I'm going, so I'm planning on visiting some of these places starting the day after I defend. So far I have plans to visit Michigan, Emory, Washington, and hopefully Pittsburgh. We'll see if I have time to visit Minnesota or Boston. I've been offered partial scholarships by a few of them, which will weigh heavily on my decision.
