Weekend Update
THURSDAY was starlollie's mini Hell Night, and even though I got seriously stressed out at the beginning, caffeine washed my worries away and I had a good time. More importantly, starlollie had a good time.
FRIDAY was an improvised gathering at Reed's house, which was a lot of fun. Some people played games while others sat on the big red couch and cuddled. silverlily81 made a cake for michelle427's birthday, and we put candles on it and sung to her. Then we flipped through some books on sexual positions that were old enough to have been owned by our parents, which was odd.
SATURDAY was the first of two Ren Faire trips this weekend for AOKP. I was originally planning to go on Sunday with speedball, but plans were made to attend Boggfest with silverlily81 that night, so I figured going to Faire and meeting her there was much easier than to try and find the place myself. It was ridiculously hot, but I had fun nontheless. I managed not to buy anything but food and drinks (and parking). I also discovered that my Tudor shoes are a lot more comfortable walking around in all day than my SCA boots. Go fig.
Boggfest was fairly short, and the sound equipment were horrible as usual, but it was a lot of fun singing and carrying on with a room full of Faire Folk.
On SUNDAY, I opted out of the second AOKP Faire trip. speedball called me in the afternoon to go see The Forbidden Kingdom, which was enjoyable despite being predictable and cliche.
After the movie, we headed over to michelle427's house to hang out. It was her birthday, but we didn't do anything special, just hung out and talked. A few of us stayed late into the night and just cuddled, which was nice despite the heat.
All in all, it was a good weekend.
