“Mo… That $20 was from all of us over here. Congratulations.”
- Player 456's mom (I'm not sure why she says she thought Mo's graduation was on Saturday but go off, sis 🙄🙄🙄)
Listen… Yesterday was Mo's graduation.
^See? It lasted like, 45mins to say this is one of the first major milestones in her, Nathaniel and Nelly's lives.
^I had to swing by Nelly's Facebook for this one. Luckily it's with Kai and Jacob (He looks so grown up! I missed so much 😭😭😭) so it works.
They came out them cap and gowns so quickly that I had to get them to find me some pics.
^Mo found me this one with her grandpa
^Nathaniel found me alot of them and I chose this one (I also wore an outfit that matched both him and Mo (Her dress, his top)
Aunt Carroll, Gabriel and CJ came from my side, Elizabeth and her dad came from their side and from the white side, there was Kai cuz Mo didn't want anything past that. (Which apparently wouldn't have been a problem cuz come to find out, Player 456's mom claims she thought it was today but we'll get to that momentarily)
After the graduation, Mo, Kai, Nathaniel and I packed into the back of Elizabeth's Dad's motor vehicle tighter than a container of sardines cuz I didn't have my wallet on me so we were about to be STUCK. Luckily that worked out. He even offered to take us to the mall so we piled right back in. The ride to the mall was better cuz we had time to actually situate everyone with Nathaniel basically sitting across us cuz he's the smallest.
At the mall we spent alot of money. I'm super duper uber very glad I did everything I could to be prepared cuz had I not, we woulda been screwed.
^Awwww 💜💜💜
Before we left, we swung by the food court, my doctor's office, and then it was time to hit the house… Where the air conditioner wasn't trying to work so we all ended up piling up in my room.
This was hilarious to me cuz next thing I knew, everybody was trying on my wigs. I've decided all the kids look good with bangs. Mo looked the best in the burgundy hair, Kai in purple and Nathaniel would look pretty good as a blonde. Lawd, he was just prancing around, posing on my pole, talking about it's his future occupation. (Gah, I hope not. He has the brains to be something extraordinary. Talking about “Then HOOTERS”. Bruh, no 😭😭😭)
Finally the air stopped acting up and we were able to get the evening back on schedule so we played the games Kai had us playing last weekend. Everybody was having a field day once they found out the child lock could come off since Laurynn wasn't with us.
It was a blast of a day for our graduates. I feel bad tho’ cuz Nathaniel had to go cuz I had to work this morning and I wasn't prepared. I knew he wanted to stay. Speaking of stay…
Now it's time for the dramatics of my day…
Kai ended up staying even tho’ the plan was for him to go home last night. He'd asked me and everything so I was confused when Player 456's mom called saying that they were already putting the little kids to bed and it wasn't fair to her to have to leave the house that late. Bruh, it was 7:45! Putting the kids to bed? The only one who needs that kinda attention should be Lollipop at this age and still, why is it a group project? I used to put the four of them to bed with Laurynn on my hip (Cuz she wasn't about to sleep alone) and not once was I waiting for Player 456 to help.
What bothered me the most was, the responsibility of the situation was thrust on Kai instead of Player 456's mom either hanging up to call me or asking to speak to me directly. Kais's still a kid. It's not his job to sit there and sort this out ESPECIALLY with thar lady calling him selfish (Well, her exact words were that Kai wasn’t thinking about the other kids, only himself) and saying that it wasn't fair to her to have to get up and pick him up EVEN THO’ THAT'S WHAT WAS AGREED UPON. Like, what?
Kai got off the phone looking like he wanted to cry. I calmed him down because I didn't want his day ruined. Only for the next day, they didn't come get him ‘til almost 11! Which isn't a problem but Mo pointed out that every time I've had both kids, they were gone by no later than 7 so did they feel like it was okay since it was just Kai? Honestly, I don't want the answer to that question. Imma leave that one alone cuz sometimes it feels as if Kai is an afterthought over there. When it was all four, I made it a point to spend one on one time with them. I never wanted them to feel like they had to compete, ya know? I always laugh with them when they say Laurynn will forever be the favorite but they're all the favorite for different reasons. Laurynn for being the most competitive, Mo for learning to standing on her own two feet after years of coddling (Bruh, it's been WORK), Kai for being the most determined to be better than what he's seen, Zyi’ for always being the most independent. Each kid has something that I admire about them.
I don't live across the pond so I can't say what going on over there. What I can say is my heart breaks for Kai because he deserves an environment where who he is takes center stage more than when he's with me.
It's disgusting.
According to my therapist, I use the word “disgust” alot lately *laughs in accuracy* And I'm not even gonna crack open the can of worms that is Player 456 not calling/texting since he told me he was gonna bring me an air conditioner. Even tho’ he was invited to the festivities, he also didn't show up after Mo's graduation. I mean, I continuously make space and offer opportunity but does he try? Nope. This. This is why I'm glad Mo can just talk to him directly now. Fuck all that noise. If she wants to play Deadbeat Roulette, she's an adult now. She can. I'm out.
Later
PS: Let's end this on a high note… Guess what's coming up?!
^Which reminds me, I need to swing by my husband's latest album. It needs my attention so I can review it
