Growing up in the 90's I listened to Pearl Jam a bit. I never knew the song Jeremy was about a real boy. I memorised the lyrics and sang along. I was put into a few mental hospitals when I started cutting myself at 15. My mom called our family doctor, Dr. Magee and he made the referral.
