Bleach and fic meme
BLEACH I LOVE YOU AGAIN. (In case you haven't noticed, we have an on-and-off relationship.)
Getting to see all my faves - Urahara, Hioyri, Orihime, even Mayuri and PUPPYCAR - just made me my day! Maybe I'm just gleeful at being done with Aizen.
Orihime's getting a lot of flak for having "no growth". I think it's still a little early to say that, imo. I mean... I've decided to stop trusting Kubo completely with Inoue (look how that turned out with Sakura and Kishimoto - even though I still think Kubo has a little more love for his girls), but I still think it's too early to say decisively. I could very easily see Orihime's blubbering and tears as a front. And, I mean, yes, Ulquiorra just died. Yes, she just did the most terrible degrading thing she could ever do, which is rely on a dead man to save her. Yes, this was extremely stressful.
But they just beat the bad guy, and everyone's feeling pretty good. Of course she's going to be relieved, like everyone else, and breaking down into tears would probably be a pretty reasonable way of dealing with it, for her character. So I choose to believe that what happened in the dome will be something for another time. Hopefully. Atm, I'm just happy to see her.
