Optimism! :o
I feel like I've been really self-centered lately, but little by little I'm getting over that.
Today went really well. I actually had all my homework done for once, and even though I still screwed up a lot in class it wasn't as bad as it usually is. I had lunch with TaeEun, and we're slowly coming to understand each other better, even though we can only communicate in Japanese. I think it's good to have at least one friend who forces you to study. XD
When I left campus, it seemed about to rain, but by the time I got home the sun was shining. And I got invited to play soccer the moment I stepped inside.
I love our soccer games. I find it so weird that when I actually played for a team, and was occasionally made to scrimmage with the guys, I was so meek and utterly useless. Now I play with guys informally and actually have fun and accomplish things -- I scored two goals today! >^_^< And you can bet no one let me have them. It really makes me wish my highschool coach hadn't been such an ignorant hag. Who knows how awesome I'd be now if I'd kept playing?
I'm also proud of my battle scars from today. Is that really as weird as people keep telling me?
And afterward I stole a piece of bamboo to practice naginata with, made french toast, went to the grocery store with Dau, and hung out in the kitchen for a while with everyone. Except I didn't feel like I should stay, because Doria has kidnapped Shane for dinner. She likes him, and I kinda like him, but I'd rather she get a chance to have a good boyfriend. I'm not quite ready to have a new relationship yet, anyway. So for now I get to be the good friend (and be a little pompous about it XD).
Shamisen class is canceled tomorrow, so I'm going to go to dance practice instead. I think I've forgotten all the moves I learned last weekend... Haha, oh well. They'll reteach me. And I'll learn them better than ever.
It feels like something good is on its way, and I just have to wait for it.
Or maybe that's just the endorphins from all this exercise.
