must be the lack of snow. But the tree is up, finished decorating it yesterday. Outdoor lights have been replaced this year. Home Hardware had a nice discount if you brought your old, energy unfriendly lights and Andy took advantage of that. I suspect it wouldn't be too many years before we couldn't get replacement bulbs for the old ones anyway ( Read more... )

I guess the next line is supposed to be about geese getting fat. Around here it's the kitties getting fat. And, oddly enough given the cold and snow, wanting us to let them in or out the door every 15 minutes or so. I miss the kitty door. Well, yes, I know it is. The snow on the ground, the growing list of wishes I'm going to grant, the nearly complete holiday shopping and the pile of baking supplies in my kitchen all tell me that Christmas is coming faster than I can believe!

The gifts are opened, the cats have made short work of some wrapping paper, the turkey is in the oven with the timer set. I've got some cookies to pack up for my brother-in-law and some for work.

Time to get dressed and head to work. Same for Andy.

I don't work today. I was originally scheduled to close tonight and tomorrow. Switched it to Tuesday and Wednesday because there was a shot at getting a ride home Wednesday from one of the few co-workers I have who has a car.
