Not feeling like Christmas...
must be the lack of snow. But the tree is up, finished decorating it yesterday. Outdoor lights have been replaced this year. Home Hardware had a nice discount if you brought your old, energy unfriendly lights and Andy took advantage of that. I suspect it wouldn't be too many years before we couldn't get replacement bulbs for the old ones anyway.
Christmas baking isn't even started. Not sure how much I will do this year. Andy will do fruitcake cookies for sure. I will definitely make ginger snaps, peanut butter cookies and shortbread. I bought non-brand name flour last time I shopped and discovered it makes crappy bread (crumbly). I will use it all up in cookies and remember to buy better flour next time. Crappy bread isn't worth the savings in flour.
Some of the Christmas shopping is done, still have more than half to do, I think. Andy, Nyssa, Mom, Kailan and Makayla - done. Dad, Shawnda, Austin, Beano, Gram, Paul, Alex and Mark left to do. Of the ones left, I know what I'm getting for everyone except Shawnda, Beano and my Dad. I have Christmas lists, though. :)
Off to a store party at LUSH this afternoon, then to Dad's birthday party - he's 77 today.
Yesterday I celebrated 22 years sober.
Maybe I'll Christmas shop tomorrow.
