1st day at CLA

hey guys! thanks for all the e-mails. i promise ill write back but i am in a huge rush today so i just wanted to give a brief update. Yesterday was my first day meeting all the girls at the school. it was amazing. They are awesome and so inspiring. They were asking me like 10000 questions and one of them was "have you had difficult times?". I started to say yes and try to explain them but then i realized that compared to their lives and how they were raised, my life is more than easy. My life has been handed to me on a silver platter. It really brought up a lot of questions within myself. The fact that some of them were forced into witch craft and that others were badly beaten their whole lives, etc... shows me that the things i have struggled with are entirely my own fault. Life is only as hard as you make it. Their strength and ability to see the glass as half full is amazing to me. I pray that some of it rubs off on me. haha. on a lighter note, i saw an albino Ugandan yesterday. SO crazy. ummm what else. The house that i am staying in is pretty cool. Me and courtney share a room and Winter and Kiersten share. We have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a sitting room. The bathroom/outhouse is... interesting. It is a concrete room that resembles what i can only imagine a room meant for solitary confinement. It doubles as a shower. We fetched water from the well which is about 1/2 mile away. Winter carried her 20L jug on her head. I am going to learn how. It is crazy, the girls start carrying them on their head when they are like 7. They are SO heavy. Today had to come into town to go to a gathering at another school. We just ordered food from a restaurant before we head to this other place... i have to go because it is waiting but i miss everyone and i hope everything is well.
PS- Courtney knows John Black. Her best friend used to seriously date him haha.
