1st day
hey guys! well i arrived in Kampala, Uganda last night. it is crazy. I took a shower- out of a normal shower-with lights. I am VERY impressed. I am at an internet cafe right now. The flight over was... long. Thanks to jenny and bethany for your notes

so my first flight there was a german speaking middle eastern woman who kept speaking to me in german but i dont speak german. My second flight i watched lots of movies and my 3rd flight was only like 30 min. Tons of people picked me up from the airport including Kirsten, Winter, and Courtney. They are 3 really cool girls. We are staying in the city for a few days before going to the school. so i found some REALLY bad news last night... all of my cameras were stolen out of my bag in Kenya. My new digital, my old digital and my disposable cameras. I am PISSED. ahhh. its okay though. They are just material objects but still... On saturday we are going to "the ranch" to spend the day with everyone working at the girls and the guys school. Everyone is super nice and all os going well except for that camera incident. We are going on a safari eventually so thats cool... i donno i dont think there is anything else left to update. If people want e-mails from me, just give me your e-mail address. i can write a few every now and then. if not, i will try to update my journal as much as possible. I hope everything is well in annapolis. We went to lunch today and it was very good. The native language here is Mugandan but everyone speaks english. Even when speaking to each other a lot is in english. I donno, i am really excited to get to the school and meet the girls. There are 29 girls at the school. Oh yea, to get around, we ride on moped type things called... i dont remember what they are called. ill let you know next time. I think thats it. I think i will really grow to love this place. We'll see.
