*rubs feet*
On this very lovely day you'll be thrilled to hear that I spent 98% of today inside cleaning the crystals on a chandelier. The other 2% of the time accounts for setting up/taking down the scaffolding (manual labour at 10am on a Sunday *thud*) and an hour eating a delicious lunch on one of those restaurant boats on the Thames.
The restaurant on the Thames was probably the highlight, but was rewarding to see just how shiny the crystal (which I suspect is actually glass) was after we cleaned almost 2yrs worth of grime off them. It only took about 4hrs to get it all cleaned, the rest of the time was probably taking them off the chandelier and getting them back on. I do get paid an extra hour because we went 20mins over the actual finish time (huzzah, 18hrs pay for 9hrs work!)
Wasn't a bad day, it was sort of relaxing (although I do smell of Mr Muscle Window & Glass cleaner...)
