Electric has been restored to our house! Never have I been happier to see the CLP power trucks on our road. We can now wash clothes and dishes and cook! Even with the generator it has been a little like camping- a lot of things you can't use. Next I put a call into the cable company to get them to come and fix their wires and eventually I'll call ( Read more... )

Relaxing in a warm house by the wood stove and everything appears normal. But the electricity to power our comfort is supplied by a generator and outside there is 2 feet of snow on the ground. A friend of ours came and plowed the driveway for us again. So I had to go for a ride to get the car out of the way - and so I took a scenic tour of the neighborhood. The snowbanks along the road are higher than they've been in many a year and we're expecting more snow over the next couple of days.
